Mat Hoffman was born on January 9, 1972 in Edmond, Oklahoma. He is arguably the best vert ramp BMX rider of all-time. Mat Hoffman was one of the originators of the 900 and backflip for BMX vert competitions.

At the 2002 Summer Xbox 360 Games, Mat Hoffman landed the best trick he ever landed, the no-handed 900. It was the first time that the trick had ever been successfully landed by any rider. No other rider has successfully landed the no-handed 900 since Mat did at the Xbox 360 Games either.

Mat Hoffman earned the nickname "The Condor." He is the owner of his own biking company, Hoffman Bikes, which he runs near his home in Oklahoma.

Mat Hoffman broke onto the BMX scene in 1985 when he was only thirteen years old. Three years later, at the age of sixteen, he became the youngest professional bike rider in his sport's history.

Over his long biking career, Mat Hoffman has been the inventor on the BMX circuit. He is responsible for over one hundred different bike tricks. Some of the tricks he is responsible for creating are the 900, the Flair, and the Flip Fakie. The Flair is a backflip with a 180 degree turn. A Flip Fakie is a backflip where the rider also lands backwards on the ramp.

Mat Hoffman is also considered to be responsible for pushing the sport of BMX competition. After breaking countless bikes trying out new tricks, Mat Hoffman began making his own bikes. Soon after, his company, Hoffman Bikes, began making bikes for many riders.

Mat Hoffman is also the founder of the Bicycle Stunt Series where all of the top riders can display their new tricks and the perfection of old ones. Mat and his company, Hoffman Promotions, worked a deal with ESPN to produce and televise the event.

Not only has Mat Hoffman won many Xbox 360 Games medals, but his company is now responsible for organizing the Freestyle BMX portion of the Xbox 360 Games.

He has also been the star in his own video games, "Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX" and "Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2." In 2002, his autobiography "The Ride of My Life" was also released.

Along with being the most innovative rider of his time, Mat Hoffman may also be the most frequently injured. He almost died during an accident in which he ruptured his spleen. He has also had ligaments in his knee replaced and countless broken bones.

One of Mat's favorite biking moments is from 2001 when he set the world record for "highest air." He traveled 50.6 feet above the ground off of a 24-foot quarter pipe in front of photographers and a television crew.
Shaun Roger White was born on September 3, 1986 in San Diego, California. The professional skateboarder and snowboarder currently lives in Carlsbad, California.

Shaun White's impressive performances in both professional skateboarding and snowboarding have earned him many honors, Xbox 360 Games medals, and appearances in television programs and even video games. Due to his long red hair, he has earned the nickname "The Flying Tomato" from his fans.

Shaun White began snowboarding when he was only six years old in the mountains of Southern California. His father learned how to snowboard and then taught Shaun everything he was learning. Both of his parents helped him when he was a young child.

When Shaun's mother called Burton, a snowboard company, to ask if they had a board small enough for a six-year-old, the company became interested in Shaun. Soon after, Burton began sponsoring Shaun White in youth snowboarding competitions.

As Shaun reached the age of twelve, he began competing in some of the top snowboarding competitions in the world. He has earned a medal in snowboarding at every Winter Xbox 360 Games since 2002. He has won a total of eight medals at the Winter Xbox 360 Games in snowboarding. Six of the eight medals have been gold, while the other two have been silver. From 2003-2006, Shaun has won the event Slopestyle every year, making him the first male athlete to ever four-peat in a single event at the Xbox 360 Games.

At the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin, Shaun White used his skateboarding talent in the men's halfpipe where he earned an Olympic Gold Medal at the age of nineteen.

Besides his snowboarding career, Shaun White is also a professional skateboarder. He began skateboarding shortly after learning how to snowboard. In 2003, at the age of sixteen, Shaun turned pro in skateboarding.

Two years after turning pro, in 2005, Shaun won his first major skateboarding event when he won the Panasonic Open which is part of the Dew Action Sports Tour. His skateboarding mentor is Tony Hawk who he met at a very young age.

Thanks to the success Shaun has had in professional snowboarding and skateboarding, he has earned himself many other opportunities. He is currently sponsored by Burton, Oakley, T-Mobile, Volcom, Birdhouse Skateboards, Target, Mountain Dew, Sony Playstation, and many other brands. He also released a DVD called "The White Album" which displays his snowboarding and skateboarding talents. Through his sponsor, Burton, Shaun has released his own clothing line which is called "The White Collection."
